Location: Woodhouse Grove School, Bridge House Apperley Road, Bradford BD10 0PU | In person event Date: 4tth March 2026 Time: Arrive at 17.15 | 17.30 - 19.30 Topic: Bradford City AFC Academy Youth Development Phase Coaching Delivered by: Alan Nevison, Head Academy Recruitment and Luke Hendrie, Youth Development Phase Coach at Bradford City AFC academy. Bradford City AFC Academy are welcoming us into their youth development phase session to see how their coaches conduct a training session and a chance to ask your coaching questions about this important phase in a players development. This Pro Series will show the overarching philosophy throughout the academy and how this is implemented at each age group. Showing age appropriate sessions to the coaches to reflect and compare between academy and grassroots. It's a chance to inspire aspiring coaches as well as showcase positive coach behaviour and practices in an elite environment. You will see first hand how the sessions are delivered, the coaching behaviours and the over-aching philosophy of the academy as well as a review of what these players experienced in the foundation phase and how they will build on this in the Youth Development Phase. You will actively observe a youth development phase training session run by Luke, whilst Alan explains what you are observing, the principles in action with this age group. After the practical demonstration, you will hear how the session was planned and why, a reflection on how this training went and what they would take into further sessions. You will have an opportunity to ask questions to relate this to your coaching situations as well. Please wrap up appropriately as the session will be have a portion outside observing the training. EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - LIMITED CAPACITY Location: Canalside Training Centre, HD2 1YJ | In person event Time: Arrive at 17.50 | 18.00 - 19.30 Topic: Huddersfield Town Academy Game Model | YDP Deliverers: George Danaher, Head of Academy Coaching and Oran Thompson, Youth Development Phase Lead at HTAFC. Booking Conformation: 24th February 2026 This event is to provide an insight into the key beliefs of youth development phase coaching at the Huddersfield Town Academy. George Danaher and Oran Thompson, will deliver a presentation and practical session which will conclude with a Q and A session. They will show the academy's game model for the youth development phase age groups 12-16 years old. This underpins their training sessions and match day management to create the right environment. We have a maximum of 40 spaces available. Pre booking is essential. Priority will be given to coaches who are currently coaching U12- U16 age groups in West Riding.
