Coach Development | Neurodivergence Inclusion in Football | 8th September 6.30-9.30pm | Access Sport & The FA

Location: West Riding FA, Fleet Lane, LS26 8NX | In person event Time: 6.30-9.30, light buffet and drinks available from 6.00pm Indoor event | We recommend you bring a pen and paper to take notes Access Sport and The FA are working together to develop a series of trainings to enhance inclusive experiences for neurodivergent individuals within grassroots football. Together, our goal is for more neurodivergent players to access and enjoy grassroots football, through any football programme. What will I get from this Inclusion Training? This training is designed to empower the grassroots football workforce to deliver inclusive and welcoming football activities for neurodivergent participants, by increasing confidence, competence, and knowledge. The training explores experiences of neurodivergent individuals within football and wider sport contexts, and what we can do – as coaches – to ensure the best experience possible. Neurodivergence Inclusion in Grassroots Football covers: Introduction to neurodiversity and neurodivergences – including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia • The importance of understanding neurodivergence and neurodivergent experiences in a grassroots football context • Barriers and challenges neurodivergent people face within grassroots football, and wider sport and physical activity settings • What a neuro-inclusive football environment looks like • How you can adapt and tailor your programme and sessions to be inclusive for neurodivergent players Who should attend? This training is suitable for anyone who coaches in a grassroots football setting, in either paid of voluntary roles. What can you expect? This training will be run in person and will include opportunities to learn from experienced facilitators, discuss with peers, and develop ideas together. The training will be delivered through a lens of lived experience, within both football and wider sporting contexts. There will be opportunities to share your own experiences, and hear from peers and facilitators. Learning will include various group discussions, and attendees will always be able to decide their involvement.

Coach Development | Queensbury FC | 6.30pm - 9.00 pm | 10th November

Location: Queensbury FC | In person event Time 18.30-21.00, doors open at 18.15 Topic Core Skills for scoring goals This event is a great chance to speak to coaches and volunteers from across the county, both new and experienced. We look forward to bringing coaches from the local area and beyond as part of our Coach Development offer. Whether you are looking to gain hours towards your UEFA C or B diplomas or investing time in developing your coaching skills get signed up to make the most of this opportunity. The session will be split into a theory presentation and practical demonstrations for you to take back into your session. The practical demonstrations will be on the indoor astroturf with a group of grassroots players. The deliverer will show how to adapt these drills for different age groups depending on who you coach. We also recommend you bring a pen and paper to take notes with.
