This is the second part of a three part series delivered by FA Regional Coach Developer Pav Singh. You are still invited to book on if you can only attend individual events.
In this session we will focus on how teams stay compact, press, protect space, and regain the ball. Coaches will explore strategies for defending in different thirds and how to support player understanding of individual and collective responsibilities. Once possession is regained, we explore how to transition quickly and purposefully into attack, whether through fast breaks or controlled build-up.
Whether you’re new to coaching or have some experience, this session will provide practical tools and insights to help you design an effective, development-focused programme for your players. If you are starting off as a volunteer this is a great way to engage with other coaches in your county to pick up best tips.
