The second workshop in our series for the Female Coach Development Group delivered by Women & Girls Coach Developer (North East) Emily Senior. This workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to develop their observation skills at a FA National League Division One North fixture between Huddersfield Town and Leeds United. COACH - Wednesday 18th December 7-8pm Online - Building Minds: Integrating Psychosocial Skills into Coaching Practice

Content will be looking at the what, why and how of integrating psych/social elements into coaching sessions. Delivered by - Dr. Tom Mitchell (Leeds Beckett University) Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching at Leeds Beckett University Tom has a research interest in the lived experiences of youth and professional footballers and coaches can influence the development of psychosocial skills and characteristics. More recently, Tom has engaged in coach development activity within professional squads working with players and staff. James Barraclough (UCLAN) James is currently at the later stages of a doctorate in elite performance, examining how psychosocial skills can be integrated into coaching through session design. He has had two papers published on the subject with a third currently under review (collaborating with Tom Mitchell). In addition, he has 20 years' experience in coaching football (10 years in academies) alongside delivering psychosocial support to individual athletes and teams combined with a lecturing role over the past 15 years.

VOLUNTEER - Wednesday 18th December England Accreditation Workshop

Date - Wednesday 18th December Venue - West Riding FA, LS26 8NX Time - 6.30-7.30pm https://www.englandfootball.com/participate/leagues-and-clubs/england-football-accreditation England Football Accreditation is for all non-professional leagues and clubs. For clubs, this is those that have teams playing within grassroots, the National League System steps 1-6 or the Women’s pyramid Tier 3 and below. Clubs can apply to be Accredited through the Club Portal. They can apply by using the dedicated Accreditation tab of the My Club section. There are a number of on-pitch (e.g. coaching qualifications) and off-pitch (e.g. club policies and plans) criteria that clubs need to meet before they can apply. Within the Accreditation tab, you will be able to see your progress against each of these criteria, and any actions that need to be completed. You have the opportunity to renew your Accreditation each season on the Club Portal. For the 2024/25 season, the window will open in November and closes in March. The renewal is completed within the Accreditation tab of the My Club section. You will receive Nike footballs when you become Accredited. Clubs who Stay Accredited will receive footballs and vouchers each season after renewal has been completed. The vouchers can be used towards new kit and equipment through our Accredited Kit Store. You will be able to access other opportunities such as the Club Programme, Club House and be prioritised for other investments."
